De SCV 15-AE is een extreem lichte Aerothan binnenband voor racefietsen en snelle wegwielen met het ETRTO-bereik 23/32-622. Het aluminium Schwalbe Clik Valve-ventiel van 40 mm klikt met minimale kracht op de pompkop en laat zich met twee vingers bedienen. De rolweerstand blijft daarbij uiterst laag. Bij de productie van het Aerothan-materiaal (TPU) wordt pyrolyseolie uit afgedankte banden gebruikt. De toewijzing vindt plaats via massabalans bij de grondstofproducent, niet fysiek in de afzonderlijke binnenband. Made from thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), Aerothan tubes are approximately 40% lighter than comparable Schwalbe Extralight butyl tubes, with extremely low rolling resistance comparable to tubeless systems. They also provide robust puncture resistance and maintain shape even at low pressures, all while being fully recyclable.
