De stekelige lavaworm is heel wendbaar met zijn flexibele ledematen. Zijn rug is bedekt met doorzichtige stekels die oranje glinsteren als vlammen. Hij heeft ook verschillende kristallen stekels op zijn kop. Zijn gele ogen detecteren indringers onmiddellijk. Zoek dekking! De lavaworm voelt zich thuis in het ruige kraterlandschap van de lavawereld. Waar vulkanen borrelen en magma stroomt, voelt hij zich thuis. En de lavaworm wil zijn thuis verdedigen.
